Proof load tools are specifically designed to meet the bearing and OEM requirements for installation and retention.
PORTABLE PROOF LOAD TESTER
Portable proof load tester tools consists of an electronic handheld display, receiver cups, DTI gauge and a load cell that has been calibrated to meet your specific requirements. This allows the user to proof load the component without removing it from its assembly. Each portable tester unit comes with a load cell specific to the bearing specified and calibrated to the load value required.
Each electronic handheld can be calibrated to work with a number of load cells that will reduce the cost as a single display can be returned for recalibration, and additional load cells added to its library only requiring the purchase of the additional load cell.
PRESS PROOF LOAD TESTER
A Press Proof Load Tester comes in the form of pusher and receiver cup that supports the bearing while being pressure loaded during testing. This style of tool has been designed to work with a press (hydraulic / pneumatic) and a customer's load cell.
Press style proof loading tools are ideal for any specification when precise incremental loads are required to be applied as they securely hold the bearing and evenly distribute the load. This provides an accurate testing result.
Each bearing size requires its own pusher and receiver cup to match the swaging groove and housing on the bearing.

BREAK-AWAY TORQUE TOOL
Breakaway torque testing uses a specialized torque wrench, which, while holding the bearing in place, measures the force required to rotate the inner race/ball after the bearing has been installed in its housing.
Due to the simple and lightweight design, our breakaway torque testing tools are easily used on components that have been installed in an application. They feature a memory dial indicator that records the peak force value.
Torque testers and receiver cups are made-to-order devices and have been designed to help measure effectiveness against the requirements of the customer specification. Typical, they work within range 5-170in/lbs. but if the requirement falls outside of these limits, a specialized tool can be manufactured/adapted. In addition, the hardware that fits the bearing can be adapted and customized to suit complex housings. Multiple retainers and receiver cups can be used with a single Torque Tool, which keeps the overall cost of a complete set low.
